Shannon is a lawyer with our office and is licensed to practice in Florida. Originally from Duxbury, Massachusetts, Shannon attended college at Virginia Intermont College, located in Bristol, Virginia, in furtherance of her interest in their equestrian program. While horses played a vital role in Shannon’s life, her passion for the legal profession grew as she interned at a private law firm and gained her Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law. In addition to her legal studies, Shannon enjoyed competing on the school’s equestrian team as well as the United States’ equestrian team, which allowed her to compete in Europe, meet college students from other countries, and learn about their various cultures.
Shannon began her studies at Florida Coastal School of Law in the fall of 2013. During her second year of law school, Shannon discovered the Law Offices of John M. Philips, and developed an admiration for our firm’s participation in the community and efforts to build a bigger table—not a higher fence. In February of 2015, Shannon joined the Law Offices of John M. Phillips as an intern, and assisted in various criminal, personal injury, and family law matters. In an effort to gain further practical experience during her final year of law school, Shannon participated in Florida Coastal’s Criminal Defense Clinic, where she had the opportunity to personally represent defendants during various stages of criminal court proceedings. In addition to a busy school and court schedule, Shannon participated in various organizations such as the Student Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi, and the Family Law Society. As a recent member of the Florida Bar, Shannon is ecstatic to be a full time attorney with the firm and looks forward to assisting clients and bettering the community any way possible.
Shannon also enjoys running, traveling, and going to the dog park with her corgi, Gronkowski.
